Can I change the default Idea Status?

No, new ideas will always have the status of “New Idea” by default.

How do I change the status of an existing Idea?

Navigate to RoadMap > Ideas and click on Quick Edit for an idea you want to change the status of. Then choose the status (or status’) you want to apply to that idea in the Status box, and then click Update.

What if I don’t want an Idea to be published until I’ve had a chance to look at it?

To change the default status of an idea (in this case, “status” refers to the built in WordPress status of either “published”, “pending review” or “draft”, not the 6 Idea Status’ we just mentioned above) navigate to RoadMap > Settings and use the Set New Idea Default Status dropdown to choose either “pending review” or “draft”. Now, new Ideas won’t be visible to the public until you navigate to RoadMap > Ideas and change the status to Published.
